Good morning,<\/p>\n

I am excited to announce that the 2026 San Antonio Livestock Exposition Scholars Scholarship application is now open. Attached is the marketing flyer. The committee created a checklist as a link at the bottom of the page to help prepare youth to fill out the application. I have also included a PDF version of the application to allow the students to gather their information before inputting it online. We will only accept applications submitted through Qualtrics. This scholarship is a great opportunity to help our youth attain post-secondary education.<\/p>\n

Please share the flyer, resources, link, and QR code in your blogs, social media, newsletters, emails, and committee meetings. We want to ensure this opportunity is presented to every youth we work with. We will send out more marketing materials later this week and next week.<\/p>\n

\nScholarship Award: Five $15,000 awards distributed over the 4 years at Prairie View A&M University.<\/p>\n

Applicant Eligibility:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 United States Citizen \u2013 scholar will be required to provide proof of citizenship.
\n\u2022 Texas high school graduate with college enrollment within two years of high school graduation.
\n\u2022 Accepted to enroll at Prairie View A&M University and participate in a curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in an approved major (See page 4 for a list of S.A.L.E. acceptable majors).
\n\u2022 Have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.80 or above on a scale of 4.0.
\n\u2022 Minimum Test Scores: SAT- 800 (total score) or ACT- 15 (composite score).
\n\u2022 Applicants have demonstrated leadership, community service, and the potential to be successful.
\n\u2022 Applicants have demonstrated financial need.
\n\u2022 Youth participation in PVAMU 4-H and Youth Development events will get points for 4-H participation.<\/p>\n

The application deadline is May 1, 2026<\/p>\n
