Sent,
Hello 4-H Families,
National Engineers Week will be held starting February 19th. Tarrant County 4-H has the opportunity for outreach AND public service to set up a booth with a hands-on demonstration at the Fort Worth Children’s Science Museum with activities related to engineering. I am hopeful that some of the members of the robotics team would be willing to assist with staffing a booth and a demonstration with their competition robots. Other 4H members are also welcome to assist as well. I’m thinking that we will have 1-2 hour shifts for individuals to sign up for (with 2-3 youth members needed and 1-2 adults). Email Catherine Stanley if interested below.
Below are the dates, I have also included my availability to help:
- Wednesday, February 22 from 10:00-4:00
- Thursday, February 23 from 10:00-4:00; 6:00-8:00
- Friday, February 24 from 10:00-4:00
- Saturday, February 25 from 10:00-4:00 (I’m Available)
- Sunday, February 26 from 12:00-4:00 (I’m Available)
Action Requested: Please let me know which date(s) and time(s) you can commit to working a shift by Friday, January 20, 2023. Catherine Michelle Stanley at 512-563-6285
Hint: This is a county-wide opportunity to reach numerous youth with public service and outreach. For those that plan to major in engineering, science (including ag sciences), technology or math — this is a great item to add to your 4-H resume.
Thanks,
Jordan Peldyak
