With the holidays coming up, I thought I would pull up some gift ideas that have caught my fancy. \u00a0I’m sure that y’all don’t have too many bug-lovers on your gifting list, but in case you do, here are some ideas.<\/p>\n

\"bee<\/a><\/p>\n

First up is a sterling silver bee nose ring because, c’mon….who wouldn’t want a bee in their nose? \u00a0I have some bee earrings, but I may need to consider getting my nose pierced now just so I can\u00a0<\/span>really<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>show off my love of insects with this.\u00a0<\/span>Nose ring<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>sold by Rock Your Nose Jewelry on Etsy.<\/p>\n

\"beekeeper_face_jug_grafton_pottery\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I must say how much I LOVE this beekeeper face jug. \u00a0It’s custom by Michael Grafton who has some amazing stuff on his website. \u00a0I definitely will be saving up my hard earned dollars to buy a piece of his art. \u00a0It is AMAZING! I think that I’ll lean towards one of his ocean\/ underwater themed pieces….I have a thing for octopodes! (did you know that was the true plural form of octopus?). \u00a0You can find Grafton Pottery’s blog\u00a0<\/span>here<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and his Facebook page\u00a0<\/span>here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"beetle<\/a>Next up we have a 3-D printed\u00a0<\/span>beetle bracelet<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>by paralogical that you can find and purchase on\u00a0<\/span>shapeways.com<\/a>. \u00a0This is a really cool bracelet not only because of the design, but also because it’s 3-D printed. \u00a0Technology is a wonderful thing sometimes.<\/p>\n

\"ceramic<\/a>I saw these ceramic bottles by\u00a0<\/span>Laura Zindel<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>on Pintrest and fell in love with them. \u00a0I just picture a cluster of them on the mantle. There are a bunch of different designs available and she also has plates, platters, butter dishes, tea cups and saucers among other things. \u00a0There is an\u00a0<\/span>ant platter<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>that is wonderfully original.<\/p>\n

\"Cockroach<\/a><\/p>\n

I could not resist this cockroach backpack although I cannot track down who actually makes it. \u00a0All I could find is that it’s from Japan….somewhere. \u00a0My husband actually showed this picture to me and I have no idea how he found it. \u00a0He’s not a fan of cockroaches like I am and I can’t imagine that he was randomly googling “cockroach” to track down gift ideas for me. \u00a0This is the same man that said if I come home with a cockroach tattoo that he will step on it (that doesn’t mean it won’t happen at some point….).<\/p>\n

\"insect<\/a><\/p>\n

Perfect for decorating a insect themed Christmas tree are these hand drawn decorations found on Etsy by\u00a0<\/span>TheOldLaundrette<\/a>. \u00a0I find these very charming…very retro and remind me of old bookplates.<\/p>\n

\"shoe<\/a><\/p>\n

Do you have trouble removing your gardening boots before you come inside the house? \u00a0This may be just what you are looking for. \u00a0This is a vintage boot remover that is an insect. \u00a0Not only is it useful, but it also is decorative and looks much nicer than most boot removers that I have seen. \u00a0This is for sale on Etsy from\u00a0<\/span>Brass Attics.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Tang<\/a><\/p>\n

The last one, is certainly not the least as it is extremely beautiful. \u00a0It’s another piece of pottery, but this one is by Carol Long. \u00a0It’s a\u00a0<\/span>Tang Butterfly Vase<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and it is AH-MA-ZING! \u00a0Look at the gorgeous curves! \u00a0I love this design.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
