Monsanto<\/em> reduced by court.<\/strong>\u00a0 A federal court judge has reduced the amount of punitive damages awarded to peach farmer, Bill Bader, in his lawsuit against Monsanto and BASF related to dicamba drift.\u00a0 In February, the jury awarded Bader $15 million in compensatory damages and $250 million in punitive damages.\u00a0 In November, the judge reduced this amount of $60 million to a &#8220;Constitutionally-appropriate amount.&#8221; [Read article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semissourian.com\/story\/2853810.html\">here<\/a>.]<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Article discusses &#8220;how to come home when the house is full.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Pam Smith recently wrote a great article based on a presentation given by a farmer who left his full-time job to come home.\u00a0 The article discusses a number of considerations that farm families need to think through in making strategic plans about the future.\u00a0 [Read article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dtnpf.com\/agriculture\/web\/ag\/crops\/article\/2020\/12\/09\/come-home-farm-already-full?fbclid=IwAR0iz-4MnAilNK4VZdOvnxo5RAcphy-UYIm6PVLlhI0v0Uk6UXi0m_z_FE0\">here<\/a>.]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello and welcome to our final Weekly Round Up post of 2020.\u00a0 I appreciate all of your support for this blog and my program and look forward to providing new and interesting content in 2021!
