{"id":8415,"date":"2020-02-04T11:54:40","date_gmt":"2020-02-04T17:54:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/texasaglaw\/?p=8415"},"modified":"2026-04-17T15:20:02","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T20:20:02","slug":"owning-your-piece-of-texas-2020-dates-locations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/texasaglaw\/2020\/02\/04\/owning-your-piece-of-texas-2020-dates-locations\/","title":{"rendered":"Owning Your Piece of Texas 2020 Dates &#038; Locations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last year, we rolled out our newest program, Owning Your Piece of Texas: Key Laws Texas Landowners Need to Know to record-breaking crowds across the state.\u00a0 The program focuses on providing practical, understandable education to Texas landowners and agricultural producers on the key laws they need to know.\u00a0 Programs will cover topics like fence law, water law, landowner liability, eminent domain, and more.\u00a0 These programs are designed to benefit both new and experienced landowners, and those on the farm as well as absentee landowners.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited to announce our Owning Your Piece of Texas program dates and locations for 2020:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amarillo &#8211; March 4, 2020 (Handbooks sponsored by Plains Land Bank)<\/li>\n<li>Conroe &#8211; March 16, 2020<\/li>\n<li>Seguin &#8211; June 4, 2020<\/li>\n<li>Burnet &#8211; September 15, 2020<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each program will last from 9am &#8211; 3pm and will include local attorney guest speakers, a copy of the Owning Your Piece of Texas handbook for all attendees, and lunch sponsored by Ag Workers Insurance.\u00a0 The cost is $75 per person.
