 <\/p>\n

Grayson County:\u00a0 <\/strong>This Thursday, June 12, 2014, I will be speaking in Sherman, Texas, at the Grayson County Courthouse.\u00a0 This program, Mineral Rights and Pipeline Negotiations<\/em>, will last from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.\u00a0 During this time, I will cover important considerations for landowners negotiating mineral leases with oil and gas companies and for those negotiating pipeline easements.\u00a0 For more information, read the news release here <\/a>or contact County Extension Agent, Chuck Jones, who put this program together after receiving numerous calls from local landowners.<\/p>\n

Multi-County Program in Mertzon, TX:\u00a0 <\/strong>I will be headed out west on June 24 to speak at the Rangeland Water Conference in Mertzon, Texas.\u00a0 This multi-county program has been spearheaded by Shane Wigington, County Extension Agent in Irion County and will offer great information to area landowners.\u00a0\u00a0Also involved are Sutton, Schleicher, Reagan, Tom Green, and Sterling counties. My portion of the program, Current Issues in Texas Water Law<\/em>, will kick things off at 9:00 am.\u00a0 After that,\u00a0a host of other speakers will cover issues including drought outlook and management strategies, economic planning for ranches during a drought, key range plants for dry times, the state of the aquifer and water supply, and the 40 gallon water conservation challenge.\u00a0 For more information, read the press release here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Denton County:\u00a0 <\/strong>On June 26, 2014, I will be speaking along with the legendary Dr. Wayne Hayenga, at the Denton County Agricultural Law and Estate Planning Seminar.\u00a0 Dr. Hayenga will cover estate planning and I will discuss leases (farm, pasture, and hunting) and the basics of Texas water law.\u00a0 County Extension Agent Brandon Boughen has\u00a0worked hard to get this program together and to get the word out\u00a0to interested folks!\u00a0 For more information, read the news release here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
