Hello all,
With the school year wrapping up, I thought you might want to pass this information along to your 4H families and Ag Science Teachers. Below are some links to the 3rd Annual East Texas Show Star Series to be held October 22-23, 2011 at the Nacogdoches County Exposition Center. The East Texas Show Star Series clinic and prospect shows are intended to provide an educational opportunity for 4-H and FFA members participating in the livestock project area. The main purpose of this event is to teach the basic principles of livestock management as they relate to facility maintenance, selection, nutrition, animal health, handling, showmanship, and transportation. Top sheep, goat and beef cattle industry leaders will be presenting hands-on showmanship techniques, fitting, grooming, selection, nutrition, show day preparation, Quality Counts, and etc. at this annual clinic. This year we will be utilizing an online registration process which can be accessed at

You will see on our blog site that we have a page to recognize and honor our sponsors. The East Texas Show Star Series would not be the quality event that it is, without our dedicated sponsors. With that being said, to continue providing this program with the lowest registration fee possible, we are in need of more sponsors. Monetary donations should be made payable to Nacogdoches Beef Committee and noted, for the ETSSS.
