The burn boss should prepare and file a completed Texas Prescribed Burning Board Prescribed Burn Plan (TDA A476) well in advance of a prescribed burn. EPPBA members should turn in their plans to the Chapter Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>The burn boss is responsible for coordinating the fire crews, checking out of equipment, checking weather conditions, notifying the proper authorities and directing the implementation of the fire. The burn boss is also responsible for the safety of each member of the fire crew.<\/p>\n<p><b>You are in charge!
