I&#8217;ve also been a professor of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences since 1997 and currently serve as an associate editor at Zootaxa.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Graduate Students<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/agrilife.org\/parasitology\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_07501.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-55 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/agrilife.org\/parasitology\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_07501-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Charlayna Telorchis Project\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/parasitology\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_07501-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/agrilife.org\/parasitology\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_07501.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"mailto:ccammarata@tamu.edu\">Charlayna Cammarata<\/a> obtained her Bachelor&#8217;s of Science in Marine Biology with a minor in Mathematics for Environmental Science from Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, Alaska. She is pursuing her PhD in my laboratory using a multidisciplinary approach to\u00a0study the Spirorchiid blood fluke\u00a0community structure of turtles. Her research interests are broadly based in the epidemiology and molecular ecology\u00a0of parasites and marine reptiles. She is\u00a0working on her Master of Science\u00a0degree\u00a0studying avian cycolcoelid lung flukes (Trematoda:\u00a0Digenea)\u00a0to determine their life cycles in collaboration with the <a href=\"http:\/\/vetmed.tamu.edu\/schubot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Schubot Exotic Bird Center<\/a>. Her research and academic interests include completing a DVM and PhD in veterinary epidemiology. He is pursuing his Master&#8217;s of Science in my laboratory studying gastrointestinal helminths of native Texas freshwater turtles.
