The Montgomery County 4-H Awards Program is designed to recognize the accomplishments of 4-H\u2019ers for their project work, leadership skills, personal growth and development and participation in various 4-H sponsored activities.<\/p>\n

The Awards Program is coordinated in conjunction with the Texas 4-H and National 4-H Awards Programs. All three groups provide donors or funds for various scholarships, trips, medals and other awards.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \"recordbook\" \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>RECORD BOOKS\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

By learning good record-keeping skills, members are able to reflect on the growth and development they have experienced in 4-H. Solid competitive record books lead to solid competitive scholarship applications. Record books that are entered for competition will be due to the 4-H Office in June. You have worked hard all year completing your projects, doing service for the community and helping others grow and learn. If you don\u2019t write it down, all of that work will fade in your memory and the details and information you will need down the road will be lost.<\/p>\n

\"STAR\u00a0 \u00a0 Gold, Silver, & Bronze\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

GOLD STAR <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Gold Star Award is the highest county achievement award and intended to be received only once in a
\nmember’s 4-H career. Counties have award quotas based on the number of senior 4-H members. This award
\nwill be presented to the most deserving youth.<\/p>\n

SILVER\u00a0<\/strong>STAR<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The Silver Star Award will be presented each year to a maximum of three outstanding intermediate members.
\nThe actual number of Silver Star Awards given will be decided by the selection committee, based on the
\nmerits of the applicants.<\/p>\n

The selection is based on quality of project work, involvement in club programs and activities, and future goals
\nfor the member’s 4-H career.<\/p>\n

BRONZE STAR<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bronze Star Award will be presented each year to a maximum of two outstanding junior members. The
\nactual number Bronze Star Awards given will be decided by the selection committee, based on the
\nmerits of the applicants.<\/p>\n

The selection is based on quality of project work, involvement in club programs and activities, and future goals
\nfor the member’s 4-H career.<\/p>\n
