SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• Plastic Bag
• Paper Towel
• Water
• Marker/Pen
• Pantry Seeds (Beans, quinoa, popcorn, etc)

• Hypothesis: Which seeds will germinate first OR many seeds do you think will germinate.

• Do The Experiment: Place your baggie with seeds on a window, check daily and record any changes or observations to see which seeds germinate.

• Reflect How We Can Take It Further: Can you keep your seeds alive? Research how to grow your seeds best. Try continuing to grow them in newspaper pots. Once they are bigger transplants outside or into a larger pot. Check out the video below on how to make newspaper pots.

• Apply What We Learned: How can germinating seeds without soil be useful to our everyday lives here on earth?
