Dr. Temple Grandin visits Texas A&M University

Dr. Temple Grandin, professor of animal science at Colorado State University, noted animal handling, behavior, and welfare specialist, and an inspiration and champion for those who are autistic, visited the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University, from October 19-22, 2015. During her visit, she lectured in several classes, visited with faculty and students, and gave a lecture entitled, “It Takes All Minds,” to an overflowing audience. Dr. Temple Grandin to speak, Wednesday, October 21, 2015

Dr. Temple Grandin, professor of animal science at Colorado State University, noted animal handling and welfare specialist, and champion for those who are autistic, will give a lecture entitled, “It Takes All Minds” on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at 7 p.m. in Room 115 Kleberg Animal and Food Sciences Center on the campus of Texas A&M University. Meat Judging Team competes at Eastern National Meat Judging Contest, October 3, 2015

The 2015 Texas A&M University Meat Judging Team recently returned from the 2015 Eastern National Meat Judging Contest held in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, hosted by Cargill Meat Solutions. The team, consisting of Brandon Burge, Keller; Brandon Cronin, Shepard; Micki Gooch, Celina; Sam Hodges, Elysian Fields; Kline Jones, Dublin; Madalynn Kainer, Victoria; Connor King, Waller; Katy Jo Nickelson, Ft. Worth; Cassie Peña, Weslaco; Mitch Rando, Sugar Land; and Erika Victor, Ft. Worth, and coached by Dr. Leslie Frenzel and Drew Cassens, placed third overall.
