Time: Immediately following the Breeding Beef Show @TVE 

Where: TVE Fairgrounds (321 FM 563 Road, Liberty, TX 77575)

If you are no longer validating an animal that you bought a tag for, please email jlreynolds@ag.tamu.edu and let her know.

The following must be present at validation:

• Animal being validated
• Registration Papers – for registered breeding animals (see section below for more info)
• Parent/Guardian – must be present to sign paperwork
  • Parents unable to attend validation must come to the Extension Office before validation to sign a waiver
  • Ag teachers cannot sign on behalf of parent
• Exhibitor – should be present to sign paperwork
  • Parents may sign for exhibitor if child cannot attend

Exhibitors with registered breeding animals:

1. Obtain original registration papers that meet ownership requirements
   • Only exhibitor(s) as owner(s) with no ranch/farm names.
   • Ownership dates must be on or before October 31
2. Verify that identifying markings (tattoo/brand) exactly match what is on registration papers. If they don’t match, you can:
   • Change registration papers to match animal
   • Change animal to match registration papers
3. Submit a color copy of registration papers to CEA/AST

Families with conflicts must make alternate arrangements prior to validation with:

• Ag Science Teacher . . . . . . if showing under FFA
• County Extension Agent . . . . . . if showing under 4-H
