Cohort III: Leadership Cornerstones (Meeting V)

LUBBOCK, TX (August 10 – 13, 2015) – Cohort III gathered in Lubbock, TX for the fifth session of the AgriLife Advanced Leadership Program. Over a three day session, the Cohort focused on Leading Groups Through Conflict and Change. In addition to a full day session at Spirit Ranch, the group toured the Bayer Museum of Agriculture and visited with Bayer Crop Science for a presentation and tour. Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Lubbock hosted the Cohort for a full day while a variety of researchers presented on topics related to ongoing programs at the Center. Guest presenters from the Plains Cotton Growers, Inc. and Texas Corn Producers, also added to the day, along with a visit/presentation from Senator Charles Perry, West Texas District 28. Cohort III presented their book review of Leadership and Self Deception edited by The Arbinger Institute and Cohort members from Texas A&M AgriLife Research, gave an advocacy presentation to their peers. Dr. David Doerfert, Texas Tech, spoke to the Cohort about the Texas Tech/TAMU Joint Doctoral Degree Program.
