Spread-Lobe Passion Flower can be found growing over shrubs, boulders and grass of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains. It prefers dry caliche soils and can grow to a length of 1 to 4 feet. The leaves are divided into three segments, each have narrow lobes. The side lobes are 1 to 2 inches long and the center lobes are 1/2 to 3/4 inches long. The unique, green flower is about 3/4 inches in diameter and blooms from May to October.
