Wright Pavonia is an upright, somewhat shrubby perennial that can reach a height of one to three feet. It can be found in dry, rocky and calcareous soils of the South Texas Plains. The rose-pink flowers are 1 to 1 1/4 inches in diameter. The velvety leaves are 1 to 2 1/2 inches long and are covered with short, white hairs. Wright Pavonia blooms from March to November and usually early in the morning, closing by mid-afternoon.
