DESCRIPTION:https://texas4-h.tamu.edu/events/qualifier/  \nThe overall contest guidelines have been posted along with a schedule of the contest. Registration on 4-H CONNECT will open Monday\, June 22 and close on July 6. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME.  For those contest with team structures\, we will not require the team composition at the time of entry. We will reach out to the county offices to provide team makeup one week prior to the contest dates. This will allow for counties with more than one team\, time to host practices to determine their teams. See the General Contest Rules for more details regarding team composition. \nThe details of the specific contest related to format changes due to the virtual platform will be posted soon as well. We are working to finalize those details\, but feel that youth will hopefully be excited we are offering the opportunities no matter the contest’s new structure. We are working to keep the contest as close to a traditional event but at the same time modifying to fit the virtual platform needs.

DESCRIPTION:State Horse Show Information \n\nAs of right now the State 4-H Horse Show has not been cancelled. It is our understanding that more directives will be coming from the Governor’s office and AgriLife Extension after May 18th.  If a cancellation becomes necessary we will communicate that to you as soon as possible.\nIn the event that the State 4-H Horse Show cannot be held as planned\, then we will offer a virtual show that youth can choose to participate in if they wish.  We fully realize that a virtual show is not the same as an in-person show; however\, it will afford the youth a chance to showcase the work they have put toward their projects this year\, and offer unique educational components.  If a virtual show is deemed necessary\, then we will be sending out instructions on registration\, rules\, classes\, etc.  A validated horse will still be required to participate in the virtual show.\nIn the event that district and/or state shows cannot proceed as planned\, then families will be given the option to request a refund of their validation fees.  More details about how this will be accomplished will be made available if cancellations are deemed necessary\, and when the best refund process has been identified.\nDistrict show qualification requirements for the state show will be waived for this year.\n\nhttps://animalscience.tamu.edu/livestock-species/equine/state-4h-show/
