An important part of a well-rounded education is the placement of students in internships with top businesses in animal production and related industries including equine. Internships provide an opportunity for students to explore their career interests and gain professional experience prior to entering the workforce. Through these internships, student receive real-life experience, apply what they’ve learned in the classroom, build leadership, character and life skills, and take the first step in starting a rewarding career in animal agriculture and business.
Students earning a degree in animal science or biomedical science are encouraged to participate in an internship, which often times leads to full-time employment.
