The\u00a0Annual Extension Volunteer Report<\/u><\/b>\u00a0is now available when your county coordinator logs into\u00a0TAMED<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

What is the Annual Extension Volunteer Report and why do we need to complete it?<\/b><\/p>\n

The Annual Extension Volunteer Report collects information from each county regarding the number of Extension volunteers for the calendar year within multiple volunteer \u201ccategories\u201d. An average number of hours per volunteer, per category is also collected.<\/p>\n

It is imperative that every county is represented! This information is used through many avenues ALL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR when interpreting the value and outreach of Extension programs.\u00a0 With the completion of the report, our administration will be uses this data as interpretation with Texas and US Congressional legislators.\u00a0 We don\u2019t want your county to be left out or misrepresented! This report is needed at the beginning of January, so please don\u2019t delay!<\/p>\n

This report provides our agency valuable information and data to share our story. In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, there were\u00a083,477<\/u>\u00a0Extension Volunteers who provided\u00a03,190,784<\/u>\u00a0hours of service valued at\u00a0$101,474,818!<\/u><\/i><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0We certainly could not do all we do without our amazing volunteers!<\/p>\n

How do we report this volunteer information?<\/b><\/p>\n

The Annual Extension Volunteer Report is available in TAMED. This report is visible to only your county coordinator.\u00a0Click the Add Annual Volunteer Report maroon button.\u00a0If you are the county coordinator, but do not see the Add Annual Volunteer Report button, please reach out so we can add your name to the list.<\/p>\n

As a county staff, work together to gather the requested information to be entered into TAMED by your county coordinator.\u00a0 Attached is a\u00a0\u00a0\"\u200bpdf\u00a0worksheet<\/span><\/a>\u00a0that may be a helpful tool as you gather the information.\u00a0 One report per county should be submitted.<\/p>\n

While only the county coordinator is able to edit and submit the information, any agent should be able to login and click the View Annual Volunteer Reports button to see what has been submitted.<\/p>\n

A FAQ from last year\u2019s reporting:\u00a0 Remember, the second column is the average number of hours per volunteer.\u00a0 If multiple agents work with different committees that will all need to be included in the same category, add up the total number of volunteers and the total number of hours, and then divide the total number of volunteers by the total number of hours.\u00a0 An example that may parallel this, is in the\u00a0TAMED Tutorials in the Average Hours Per Session Video<\/a>.\u00a0 The example starts at the 5:13 mark.<\/p>\n

AGAIN THIS YEAR!<\/b><\/p>\n

As with many of our other processes, we are shifting to a fiscal year (September 1 \u2013 August 31) timeline. In the past our volunteer report was on the calendar year.\u00a0\u00a0Your report should include Extension volunteer work between the dates of September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024<\/u>.<\/b><\/p>\n

This report needs to be completed by Tuesday, October 15, 2024.<\/u><\/b>\u00a0 You will have three weeks to complete this report.\u00a0 It will be very important that this report be completed by the deadline as the information must be provided to our administration in a timely manner.<\/p>\n

How do I find what our county reported in previous years?<\/b><\/p>\n

For previous years, that information was in the TexasData system that is no longer available.\u00a0 I have the data saved in an Excel spreadsheet for each year and it can be found the employee intranet on the\u00a0Volunteerism<\/a>\u00a0page.\u00a0 2019 through 2022 are linked in the main part of the page, and the 2016 through 2018 reports are also available in the Publications folders at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
