Research activities are currently funded by a Texas A&M X-Grant award through the Presidential Excellence Fund for the “CRISPR Gene Editing for Healthier Foods and Improved Crop Resilience.”

Besides,  his “CRISPR Gene Editing for Healthier Foods and Improved Crop Resilience” project, Dr. Michael Thomson presented an overview of using CRISPR technology for crop improvement: New Technologies for Rice Breeding with a Focus on CRISPR Gene Editing.”
