Despite months of social distancing, isolation, and the dwindling of common practices, we still have the illusive New Year\u2019s Resolutions hanging over our heads.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"giphy-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/3otPoSyc3ty37iTKsU\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Every year we compose a list of habits we want to break or begin and ever year nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/health.usnews.com\/health-news\/blogs\/eat-run\/articles\/2015-12-29\/why-80-percent-of-new-years-resolutions-fail\">80% of those lists<\/a> aren\u2019t completed to fruition.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be bummed if you fall into that 80% group because you\u2019re definitely not alone.<\/p>\n<p>Why do so many resolutions end before they really begin?<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"giphy-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/xUySTVNHpdACknfKuc\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One main reason is that \u201coutside-in\u201d solutions rarely improve our lives if we have not made intrinsic changes to the roots of our least favorite characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>A more successful approach is to associate a word or phrase with 2021.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if your resolution was to \u201cread more\u201d or \u201clearn a new hobby\u201d then your word could be \u201cknowledge\u201d and for the rest of 2021 you can give special attention to things that you believe fall under that category.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the top resolutions of previous years. When reading through them, try to associate a word or phrase that someone could use in the resolution\u2019s place to better identify their desires\/needs.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Exercise more<\/li>\n<li>Get organized<\/li>\n<li>Learn a new skill or hobby<\/li>\n<li>Save more money \/ spend less money<\/li>\n<li>Spend more time with family and friends<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now think about your own personal resolutions. We\u2019re here to build you up in your greatest endeavors.
