4-H Equipment Rental - Brazoria County 4-H

The Brazoria County 4-H Office has many items available
to rent on a short term basis for its 4-H Leaders, Parents, and Members.Theses items are limited to 4-H functions, project meetings, and training sessions.

Update:

The Adult Leaders recently updated the Trailer and Equipment Polices, and all changes start July 1, 2018. Please review the Polices and contact the 4-H Office should you have any questions at 979-864-1558.

Items For Rent Include:

Aluminum Stock Trailer
- Check out available for up to five days maximum. If exceeded daily rate increases.
- $50.00 Deposit
- $10.00 rental fee per day for first five days
- $20.00 rental fee per day after first five days

To rent the trailers, we will need a copy of your Driver License and Vehicle Insurance.

1. The use of Brazoria County 4-H trailer is limited to 4-H Leaders, Parents, and Members. Drivers must show valid license and proof of insurance documentation.

2. Checkout of the trailer must be approved and assigned on the 4-H equipment calendar before pickup. No one is allowed behind Precinct Fences without an Extension Employee with them.
3. Use is limited to 4-H functions, project meetings, training sessions and Vet Appointments.
4. Usage of the trailer by an Agent for county-wide events will take precedence over club usage. This will maximize the utilization of the trailer for the benefit of the county youth.
5. The trailer may be checked out from an Agent or the 4-H Admin for a maximum of five (5) calendar days. The Trailer can only be checked out and returned during 4-H office hours.
6. A 2 5/16” ball must be used when using the 4-H trailer. If you do not have one that size the 4-H Office has one you can check out. If you do not return it along with the trailer you will be responsible for the replacement cost.
7. The Coupler Lock must be attached to the 4-H trailer any time it is not attached to your vehicle. The 4-H Office will supply the lock. If you do not return the lock and key along with the trailer you will be responsible for the replacement cost.
8. The person checking out the trailer and or equipment is responsible for any and all damage to the trailer and or equipment while in their possession. That person shall have repaired or replaced the damaged equipment or reimburse the county fund for needed repairs of replacement.
9. A $50.00 Deposit fee and a $10.00 per day fee for the first five (5) days and a $20.00 per day fee after will be assessed for use of the aluminum stock trailer. These fees will help offset the costs for annual trailer registration and required maintenance and additionally insure the cleanliness and return of used items.
10. Check in process will be required. We will need the lock and hitch (if borrowed) back. A County Agent or Admin will also check for damage to the trailer and or equipment and check the cleanliness. If stock trailer is not returned clean or any items are missing, we will keep the $50.00 deposit.
11. The Trailer and or Equipment privileges can be revoked at any time at the discretion of the Brazoria County 4-H Office. This includes but is not limited to cancellation of current reservation.
12. All request are to be submitted via the Brazoria County 4-H Website.
13. Please remember if the trailer and or equipment is damaged and cannot be used, every member of Brazoria County 4-H has lost a valuable tools.
