Chapter Advisors and County Extension Agents can enter teams through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.judgingcard.com\/Registration\/Info.aspx?ID=11887\">https:\/\/www.judgingcard.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration:<\/strong> 11:30 \u2013 12:00 noon; Cadence Bank Center<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contest Begins:<\/strong>\u00a012:00 noon<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contest Results &amp; Awards:<\/strong>\u00a0Immediately following tabulation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ag Product ID Contest Superintendent:<\/strong>\u00a0Michael Canales, 254-541-6293 cell<\/p>\n<p>The contest is open to all 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters in Texas. Individuals who wish to compete without a team are also welcome. Teams may consist of three or four members, with the three highest scores being used. There will be a junior division (8th grade and below), and a senior division (9th-12th grade). For junior members to qualify for High Point Awards, they should not be placed on a Senior Team. The number of teams entered per chapter\/club is unlimited.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Contest Format.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 Texas agricultural products<\/span> are selected from the attached Texas Agriculture Products List and exhibited at separate stations.<\/li>\n<li>Contestants select the correct identification of each product from four possible answers.<\/li>\n<li>Each station also has one multiple choice question pertaining to the product on display. Questions are general to the industry that produced the product, (i.e. Texas\u2019 national ranking, economic impact to Texas, general nutritional content, region of production) or specific to the individual product that is on display (i.e. cooking method, use, growing season, specific nutrition of the cut or variety).<\/li>\n<li>Contestants are given <span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 seconds<\/span> at each station to answer both questions.<\/li>\n<li>Contestants must advance from one exhibit to the next when instructed to do so.<\/li>\n<li>Contestants must evaluate each exhibit in sequence and will not be allowed to return to any exhibit after advancing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Contestants will receive five points for each product that is correctly identified and five points for each question that is correctly answered. However, for points to be awarded on questions pertaining directly to the product displayed, the product must be correctly identified. (Total possible points: 300 per individual.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Team Scores.<\/strong> Team scores will be determined by the combined score of the three (3) highest scoring individual team members. The contestant with the lowest score will be designated as alternate but will still be eligible to receive individual awards. (Total possible points: 900 per team.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Ties:<\/strong> Seven stations will be selected as tie breakers in advance of the contest. Teams with the highest cumulative scores at these five stations will win any ties.
