SPECIAL RULES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. All entries must be labeled with name, Chapter, or 4-H Club with tags<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    provided by BCYF. No prefabricated project will be accepted.\u00a0 Only<\/p>\n

    entries that are built in a school shop or a home shop will be<\/p>\n

    accepted. Entries will not be accepted if they have been exhibited in<\/p>\n

    this show previously.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Exhibitors may enter only one entry per class.<\/li>\n
    2. Ag. Mech exhibits arriving after designated times will hold their<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      exhibit outside the barn until allowed to enter by the Superintendent.<\/p>\n

      All late arrivals will be charged a $50.00 penalty.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. See \u201cExhibitions\u201d under GENERAL RULES on page 25.<\/li>\n
      2. All prize checks will be sent out to the exhibitor after April 15th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n
      3. Belt buckles will be passed out after \u201cThank You\u201d card is turned in. If<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        additional buckles are needed for team members please contact the<\/p>\n

        fair office.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Exhibitors should be dressed appropriately AND<\/strong> be present at judging.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            \n
          1. Exhibitor should provide any equipment necessary to judge the<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            project.\u00a0 Example:\u00a0 Flashlight, mats, or creepers, etc.<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Judging system: Classes will be placed based on points assigned<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              by Danish System.<\/p>\n

                \n
              1. Larger projects may be required to be displayed outside at<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                superintendent\u2019s discretion.<\/p>\n

                  \n
                1. D.O.T. rules must be followed.<\/li>\n
                2. Sharp edges and points MUST be padded or covered to prevent injury.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                    \n
                  1. Safe and appropriate display stands must be provided for projects<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    needing support, such as gates.<\/p>\n

                      \n
                    1. Projects requiring offloading assistance that need to be lifted from<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      the topside area needs to be fitted with lifting eyes at balance points<\/p>\n

                      that accommodate 1\u201d shackles.<\/p>\n

                        \n
                      1. Parents, Advisors, Guests: Please refrain from speaking to students<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        and judges while the project is being judged.<\/p>\n

                          \n
                        1. Projects may be reclassified at the Superintendent\u2019s discretion, if<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                          not classified properly when entry is submitted.<\/p>\n

                            \n
                          1. A record book is required and should include working drawings, bill<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            of material or expense report, labeled photographs showing<\/p>\n

                            construction process and final project, and safety data<\/p>\n

                            sheets\/product information sheets. This is not a scrapbook format.<\/p>\n

                             <\/p>\n

                            Documentation & Research<\/strong>: Documentation is considered a research portfolio and should NOT be constructed as a scrapbook. Documents should be easy to read and arranged neatly in a tabbed notebook with a table of contents and pages numbered. Documentation & Research Package must include the following components:<\/p>\n

                             <\/p>\n

                              \n
                            1. Working Drawing: Must include an original (exhibitor-drawn) multiview orthographic projection drawn to a given scale with proper lettering and dimensioning. Scale must be identified on the drawing. Dimensioning shown on drawing should be specific and complete enough for it to be apparent that drawing was used to plan and construct project. Judges will spot check dimensions on projects to see if they comply with drawings. Drawing may be a CAD (Computer Aided Design). Pictorials, isometric, oblique or perspective may be included.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                               <\/p>\n

                                \n
                              1. Bill of Materials (BOM): Must include a list or a description of material, including columns 1) Item #, 2) Description, 3) Size, 4) Quantity, 5) Unit, 6) Cost per item, 7) Extended Costs and 8) Total Costs. Other Information such as date of purchase, vendors name and\/or Purchase Order Number, etc. may be included. BOM may be developed using a computer spread sheet program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                  \n
                                1. Photographs: Show work in progress and should illustrate proper safety procedures including clothing, eye, and face shields, etc. Photographs should be sequenced in order of constructing the project. Pictures may be displayed at the show using a computer display if electricity is available at the site. Exhibitor(s) should be in most of the pictures. Pictures must be of good quality with labels identifying activity and exhibitor(s) in the picture. No more than 40 pictures may be included, except for (Tractor Restoration). Two or up to four pictures per page is recommended. Additional photographs may be displayed in a separate notebook for public viewing, but judges may not view them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Product Information (PI) bulletins and\/or Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) must be germane to the project and should include Paints and chemical supplies, etc. The manufacturer\u2019s specifications or PI (Product Information) for trailer and equipment components such as axles, springs, wheels, jacks, break-a-ways, and hydraulic cylinders should be included.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n
