Texas A&M University a sponsor at TMBBQ FEST 2016

For the sixth year in a row, Texas A&M University will be one of the sponsors of the TMBBQ FEST 2016 on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Faculty and students will be in attendance at the festival meeting and greeting people who are interested in knowing more about the art and science of barbecue. Aggies participate in TMBBQ FEST 2014

For the fourth year in a row, Texas A&M University was one of the sponsors of the TMBBQ Fest, and Texas Barbecue faculty and students were in attendance at the festival on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Austin. The Texas A&M University team included Davey Griffin, Ray Riley, Jeff Savell, Blythe Schultz, Kaitlyn Porter, Hillary Henderson, Michael Berto, and John Chivvis. Aggies participate in Houston Barbecue Festival

We had the great pleasure of participating in the 2nd Houston Barbecue Festival, which was held at Reliant Park in Houston on Sunday, April 6, 2014. We took the BBQ Genius Counter set up, and eight of us traveled to Houston for the event: Davey Griffin, Michael Berto, Tyler Rosser, Clay Eastwood, Kaitlyn Porter, Katy Jo Nickelson, and Jackie Savell. Aggies participate in Texas Monthly BBQ Festival, 2013 edition

For the third year in a row, Texas A&M University and its BBQ Genius Counter participated in the Texas Monthly BBQ Festival in Austin. Faculty and students from the Department of Animal Science, Jeff Savell, Davey Griffin, Ray Riley, Clay Eastwood, Chloe Geye, Kaitlyn Porter, and Michael Berto, were at the festival working at the Texas A&M University booth, visiting pitmasters, giving tips to backyard barbecue enthusiasts, and sampling great barbecue from the top places around the state.
