{"id":127,"date":"2011-12-05T18:11:46","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T18:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrilife.org\/agrilifecenter\/?page_id=127"},"modified":"2023-08-15T18:34:50","modified_gmt":"2023-08-15T18:34:50","slug":"faqs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/agrilifecenter\/faqs\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have compiled a short list of FAQs to assist you in determining if The Shirley &amp; Joe &#8217;74 Swinbank AgriLife Center will serve your needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is included in your pricing?<\/strong><br \/>\nOur fee includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Room rental<\/li>\n<li>Tables, chairs and linens<\/li>\n<li>Custodial services<\/li>\n<li>AgriLife Events Staff event coordination and management services<\/li>\n<li>220\u201d LED TV Wall display<\/li>\n<li>Sound system<\/li>\n<li>Podium microphone, wireless microphone, and earpiece microphone<\/li>\n<li>Stage<\/li>\n<li>Slide advancer<\/li>\n<li>Satellite TV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What is not included in your pricing?<\/strong><br \/>\nOur fee\u00a0<u>does not<\/u>\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parking arrangements<\/li>\n<li>Catering or bar services<\/li>\n<li>Security (required for all events where alcohol is served)<\/li>\n<li>Specialized A\/V technician services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What if we only need your space for shorter hours?<\/strong><br \/>\nOur rental prices are not calculated at a per-hour rate since our packages include services that are both hourly and flat-rate. You do not have to use the entire time, but you will still be charged the full amount.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where do I get tables and chairs for my event?<\/strong><br \/>\nDuring your consultation The AgriLife Events Staff will help determine what equipment \u2013 such as tables, chairs, and linens \u2013 you will need. The AgriLife Events Staff will make arrangements for any of these rentals needed for your event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you have a preferred caterers list?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou are welcome to use any licensed professional caterer of your choosing, but if you need ideas or suggestions we do have a list of caterers that have provided excellent services in our facility or have been recommended to us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is alcohol allowed in The AgriLife Center?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes. The AgriLife Center is a Texas A&amp;M University System (TAMUS) approved site for use of alcohol, however <a href=\"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/agrilifecenter\/alcohol-service\/\">some additional rules will apply<\/a> \u2013 such as the requirement of UPD Security services, who may serve alcohol, and <a href=\"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/agrilifecenter\/alcohol-service\/\">additional paperwork that must be filed<\/a>. Please contact AgriLife Events Staff prior to your event for more information regarding rules and regulations pertaining to alcohol possession or use.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is there Wi-Fi available?<\/strong><br \/>\nWi-Fi is complimentary to all guests through Texas A&amp;M University. Texas A&amp;M faculty, staff and students will use the &#8220;TAMU_WiFi&#8221; network and guests will be able to use the &#8220;TAMU_Visitor&#8221; network.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where will my guests park?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe AgriLife Center does not have a designated parking lot. Parking arrangements can be made through Texas A&amp;M University Transportation Services Special Events and Group Parking department at 979.862.7943 or by completing their <a href=\"https:\/\/transport.tamu.edu\/Parking\/department.aspx\">Special Event\/Group Parking Request Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My organization would like to sell t-shirts and hats at our event. Is that allowed?<\/strong><br \/>\nWith the approval of AgriLife Events Staff, the sale and distribution of food, beverages, souvenirs or other concession items are permissible.
