{"id":36,"date":"2016-03-31T15:28:06","date_gmt":"2016-03-31T15:28:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrilife.org\/agnewsandviews\/?p=36"},"modified":"2016-03-31T16:15:03","modified_gmt":"2016-03-31T16:15:03","slug":"ag-chemical-collection-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agrilife.org\/agnewsandviews\/2016\/03\/31\/ag-chemical-collection-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Ag Chemical Collection Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The San Antonio River Authority (SARA) has officially opened registration for the Agricultural (Ag) Chemical Collection event that will be held on May 11 at the Karnes County Youth Showbarn in Karnes City.\u00a0The event is open to landowners in Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties. Interested landowners will have until Wednesday, April 27, to return their registration form to their local Texas A&amp;M AgriLife Extension Office.\u00a0The registration form is attached below.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>This is the first time SARA has organized an Ag Chemical Collection Event. SARA\u2019s Board budgeted $100,000 for the event, so staff have determined a first registered first served process will allow for maximum participation while remaining within the allowable budget. Drop off appointments will be based on the order that registration forms are received by the respective county Extension offices.\u00a0SARA hopes to serve everyone interested in participating; however, there may be a need to cut off registrations to keep within the budget. Once registration is closed, SARA will reach out to individual landowners to notify them of their registration status.
