Led by Dr. Mark A. Hussey, Vice Chancellor and Dean of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M AgriLife provides teaching, research, service and extension to the state of Texas and beyond. AgriLife comprises four state agencies, Texas AgriLife Extension Service, the Texas Forest Service, the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory and Texas AgriLife Research. These agencies conduct vital research across the entire state of Texas and reach across the globe to improve agriculture and natural resources.
As Dean, Dr. Hussey also oversees the Texas A&M University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, which is the largest college of its kind in the nation.
In addition, AgriLife services, including administrative services, IT, communications, federal and external relations, provide support to more than 5,000 AgriLife employees state-wide.
Together, we are protecting our environment, improving our health, enriching our youth and feeding our world.
