Bennett Trust Land Stewardship Conference – April 23-24, 2015 – Kerville, TX.  This conference focuses on practical information for landowners in the Texas Hill Country.  This year I enjoyed speaking on agricultural leases and ag use tax valuation.

Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Convention – March 27-29, 2015 – Ft. Worth, TX.  I thoroughly enjoyed this conference, where I spoke on grazing leases and on pipeline easement negotiation.  For more information, click here.

USDA Outlook Conference – February 19-20, 2015 – Washington, DC.  I traveled to DC to speak on ag and wildlife use valuation methods on cattle restocking in Texas at this conference.

Southern Dairy Conference – January 20-21, 2015 – Atlanta, GA.  At this conference I gave a presentation on how to protect an agricultural operation from being infiltrated by animal rights activists.

American Water Resources Association Annual Conference – November 3-6, 2014 – Tysons Corner, Virginia.   I presented on regulatory takings, specifically discussing the Edwards Aquifer Authority v. Groves Conference on Marriage and Family “Fracking and Families” – June 26-30, 2014 – State College, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Rebekka Dudensing and I prepared materials discussing the impact of the oil and gas boom on Texas.

Universities Council on Water Resources Conference – June 18-20, 2014 – Boston, Massachusetts.  I spoke on two panels at this conference.  The first presentation was a discussion of the potential impacts of the Texas v. New Mexico lawsuit with Dr. Ari Mickelson, Dr. Ron Lacewell, and Dr. Brian Hurd.  The second was an overview of various interstate water disputes and the panel will include Jesse Richardson, Drew Kershen, Jim Bradbury, and myself. For more info, visit the UCOWR website.

Texas Water 2014 –  April 14 – 17, 2014 – Dallas, Texas.  I spoke with Amber Miller discussing where water used in fracking fits within the Texas groundwater statutory scheme.

Women in Agriculture Education National Conference – April 1-3, 2014 – Indianapolis, Indiana.  I presented with Paul Goeringer of the University of Maryland on risk management education, focusing specifically on water law education in Texas.
