4-H Connect Version 2

The Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program has released a new version of 4-H CONNECT (https://www.4honline.com/Login.aspx?id=53).
It now includes the capabilities for on-line 4-H enrollment features, a reporting function for 4-H club managers/project leaders to report attendance and participation numbers from club activities, in addition to the event registration.
You will see that the look of 4-H CONNECT has changed some, but the process of signing up and registering is pretty much the same.

In addition to the new version, we have moved to a faster server that will be able to process and manage the system at a faster pace and with the highest level of security.

There are several changes that you need to be aware of.

  • Effective with the new system, 4-H CONNECT will not be accepting PERSONAL CHECKS, but will be accepting E-CHECKS.  As with all on-line commercial/vendor web sites, we will be moving to this payment option.  This will ensure a faster process for our clientele, ensure payment of event registrations, and the ability for our county/districts to monitor closely the payment status of their county registrations. (E-checks are processed in the same manner as credit cards – account number, etc).
  • To address the concerns of county’s not knowing if a 4-H member/adult is registering for events, all profiles (youth and adults) will have to be accepted for membership by the county office prior to anyone having access to registering for an event.
  • All youth and adult profiles will be assigned a permanent identification number.
  • Everyone is required to set up a new family and youth/adult profile.
Over the next month, events and the system that clientele use will be in transition.  Any events that are currently open on the 4-H CONNECT v1 program will remain on that system until the registration period ends.  Any new events open from this point on, will be on the new system.  This has been indicated clearly on the 4-H CONNECT/Calendar page of the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Website.

Attached is a guide document that takes you through the process of establishing a family and individual profile.  An additional document will be coming shortly for our club managers/project leaders on reporting monthly club activities.

In short, please go ahead and set up a new family profile for each registered member/adult.  Then when it comes time for you to enter a contest, you will already be in the new system and entry will be a piece of cake.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  Hopefully, this will be the last time you will have to create a family profile.
