How Much do You Know About Diabetes?

Ever wonder if you know enough about diabetes?  Well, here are a few questions that will test your knowledge of the diabetes “ABC’s”.

1)  True or False

For most people with diabetes, the American Diabetes Association recommends your estimated average glucose (eAG) goals should be 200mg/dl.

Answer:  FALSE (for an A1C of 7%, your eAG goal should be 154mg/dl.

2)  To lower your blood pressure, you can:

a.  Reduce the amount of salt in your diet
b.  lose weight
c.  lower alcohol intake
d  All the above

Answer:  All the above

3)  True or False

You want to avoid high levels of LDL Cholesterol?

Answer:  TRUE (“Lousy”, “lethal”, of “bad”)  cholesterol can narrow or block blood vessels.
