When importing content from MicroSoft Word, it is highly recommended to use either the Paste as Plain Text or Paste from Word feature (see image below depicting where these icons are located). Word is notorious about adding proprietary code to webpages. Using the Paste as Plain Texas or Paste from Word strips out that code to create cleaner html. Another HUGE concern are viruses being transported from a user’s computer to a web server. Viruses are often transmitted through MicroSoft products.

Any page in your site can have a slideshow that appears on the top of the page. This template omits the 3 columns normally found on a Home page. The Redirect template is used to have a link redirect to – for instance, a webpage that is external to the site. Create a new Page and give it a title. In the Template drop down list, in the Page Attributes area on the right pane, select Redirect. Add the URL you want the link to go to into the body. Publish – or Update – the page.
The News/Blog Main Page Template will consolidate Posts into 1 page. It displays a snippet of the post’s content and any image that may have been uploaded to the Post. The Home Template is used to automatically display the slide show on the top of the page, and the 3 columns on the bottom of the page. The image below illustrates these features. The Child Page List template automatically adds a bulleted list of child and grandchild pages. The image below is an example of the Child List template result. Add content to your page. On the right pane, under the Page Attributes area, click the triangle to expand, if needed. Click on the Parent drop down menu and select the page you want to nest your new page under. Publish, or Update, the page. Your page will then be nested under the parent in the navigation bar.
On the left pane, expand the Pages section by clicking on the triangle. Select My Page Order The My Page Order feature has been replaced with the (on the left pane) Appearance>>Menus feature.
