Donald Kelm was born and raised in Brenham, Texas and graduated from Brenham High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 1986 and a Master of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 1987. While at Texas A&M, Donald was a member of the 1985 Livestock Judging Team and the 1986 Wool Judging Team. He began his career in 1987 with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as an Assistant CEA-AG in Falls County. Currently, Donald is the District Extension Administrator for the Rolling Plains, District 3 located in Vernon, Texas. He and his wife, Kathy, have one son, Braden.
