Jordan Brod is the Agency Operations Manager for the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL). He has served in this role since October 2010 and functions as the agency’s liaison for building projects, coordinating with vendors and maintenance personnel for the maintenance and support of TVMDL facilities located in College Station, Amarillo, Center and Gonzales. He chairs the TVMDL Safety Committee and ensures development, implementation, and continual improvement of environmental health, safety, containment, and biosecurity programs. In 2005, Jordan joined the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) and its Quality Assurance Committee where he continues active membership. In February 2011, Jordan was selected by the AAVLD Accreditation Committee as a site-visit auditor. He also serves on the TVMDL Quality Assurance and the Quality System Management Review committees. He co-chaired the TVMDL Employee Advisory Council in 2009 and 2010.

Jordan has received several TVMDL awards including the 2009 Director’s Excellence Award, the 2005 and 2007 Director’s Service Awards, and was named Employee of the Year in 2000 and 2006. Jordan is a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Animal Science. Prior to his current position, Jordan advanced through the Histopathology and Quality Assurance departments of TVMDL, moving from laboratory technician to supervisor to Quality Assurance & Safety Manager; serving in these various roles from 1999 to 2010. Jordan and his wife, Christie, reside in College Station with their two children.
