Dr. Michael “Shane” McLellan has held the position of County Extension Agent-Agriculture, McLennan County for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service since December 2007.  Primary areas of focus are Row Crop, Beef and Forage, and Horticulture.  Before accepting this appointment, Dr. McLellan served as County Extension Agent-Ag/Nr for Freestone County for eight years.  Prior to this McLellan served as an Assistant Agent in Hill County for 18 months.

Dr. McLellan received his Doctorate in Agriculture Education from Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University; Masters of Science in Agriculture Education from Tarleton State University; and Bachelors of Science in  Agriculture Services and Development from Tarleton State University.

Agent McLellan grew up near Avoca Texas on the family farm.
