Shooting Sports is one of the fastest growing 4-H projects in the district.  The  Rifle Match is an annual competitive event with smallbore marksmen testing their skills agains other 4-H members across the district.  Youth compete in three different age groups using smallbore (.22 cal) rifles as part of a 4-person team.  Recently, archery has been added to the spectrum of disciplines.  In 2011, the first District 12 4-H Shooting Sports Match will be hosted that includes both Smallbore and Archery.  In addition, the Postal League is a new opportunity for 4-H members and families to engage in additional opportunities with smallbore, and it also expands current opportunities for archery.  Information is available below for smallbore and archery opportunities in District 12.
