The District 4-H Golf Challenge was developed to provide youth the opportunity to compete in an outdoor sporting event.  While competing, youth also have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the areas of sports nutrition, golf course & turf grass management, as well as the rules and etiquette of golf.  The 4-H Golf Challenge gives youth the opportunity to compete in an athletic event while learning a much broader side of the sport.  Learning about proper sports nutrition, rules, etiquette, careers, and the industry side of golf proves to be a valuable approach to positive youth development.
