Tools We Use

WP Engine provides all our Web hosting.  We house over 900 web properties with them.

Browserstack is a tool we use to help troubleshoot issues with unusual browsers.  It provides an easy way to emulate hundreds of different browser environments.

Zapier is an API (Application Programming Interface) automation service.  Basic plan includes 20 recurring service calls a month up to 3,000 tasks.  They have a more descriptive pricing page: Right now it’s used to pull issues from our bug report form into our project management system for software development.

Google Apps is used to provide email service for the domain.  They charge per user account at $50 per year per user (we use three).

SproutSocial is a Social Media Management Systems that provides a platform for multiple staff to contribute to social media efforts and provides a facility to track results. Social media, in general, is used to better communicate with our constituents through a medium that they are already using and engaged in.

We use Adobe Typekit to provide deliver fonts to our desktop, tablet and mobile web users. Typekit saves time by providing suitable fall-backs and insures legibility on a variety of devices and supports a number of languages. The Typekit is used by AgriLife Communications on over 900 web properties.

Optimal Workshop is used to find out how people think our content should be organized and get user insights to make informed information architecture decisions.
