Week of June 27, 2011

This week four more county websites went live, thanks to the hard work of our Web team. Those counties are Hansford, Lipscomb, Sherman, and Armstrong. Training was provided for the Uvalde server, Uvalde.tamu.edu.

The Education Media team has been working on manuscripts covering:

  • Forage systems
  • Methods of inspecting an anaerobic septic system
  • Alfalfa for small acreage producers in West Texas
  • Cool-season annual grasses
  • Legume management
  • Saltcedar

They have also been working with the 4-H entomology website and on translations for five publications on biosecurity; completed and uploaded two fire ant videos for You Tube— Broadcast Application of Fire Ant Bait Products and Aerial Application of Fire Ant Bait Products—and gave a one-hour primer on editing business correspondence.

And still found time to take cake pops out to Copy Services as a thank-you “for their heroic efforts in getting a rush job out in time to be mailed for a ‘Cooking Well with Diabetes’ training.” Sweet!
