Texas A&M University was founded as a land-grant college in 1876. However, it was not until 1911 that agriculture was formally organized into a college by the board of directors (now board of regents).
In 2011, the Texas A&M University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is celebrating this centennial milestone with a series of special events and commemorations. Join us as we highlight our contributions across the land-grant system this 2011.
