Arthropods are everywhere and children are fascinated with them! Since these animals are found in so many locations in our world, it is important to educate our youth about these animals. This website was built to provide resources for educators or anyone with an interest in teaching about insects and other arthropods.

• Elementary Insects Website TEKS objective-based training modules that incorporate insects.  Each module focuses on a particular group of arthropods for grades 2nd-5th.
• Insect Collecting Videos Learn how to collect, pin and preserve insects and other arthropods through video.
• eXtension Youth Fire Ant Module Explore lessons about fire ant biology and behavior for grades 3rd-5th with hands-on experiments and exercises.

• Think kids can’t do real science?  Check out this report from Blackawton Primary School in Devon, England.  They report on the first peer-reviewed, scientific article ever in a Royal Society publication by 10-12 year old children.
