Brazoria County Youth Fair – July 20, 2013

Each Summer Brazoria County 4-H hosts a fair similar to the Brazoria County Fair except on a much smaller basis. This is one of two major fund raisers that Brazoria County conducts each year. Some of the events at the youth fair include a steer and heifer show, lamb show, goat and sheep clinic and beef showmanship clinic. It also includes home economics arts and crafts competition and a consumer decision making contest. Each participant will receive a ribbon and premium money is awarded to top winners in each division. There is an entry fee for livestock exhibitors. 4-H members also sell raffle tickets for this event to raise money. A portion of the money goes back to the individual clubs and club members receive prizes for the amount of tickets that they sell.
