Photography Project

The Texas 4-H Youth Development Program is excited to release the photography contests for the 2015-2016 4-H Year.  2016 Texas 4-H Photography Contest Theme:  For 2015-2016 the theme is “4-H, Ribbons, Awards and Recognition”. This year the theme will focus still life arrangements of 4-H awards, ribbons and recognition. The arrangement and positioning of items will be strongly evaluated as well as the quality of the photo.  Photo should create emotion and have impact!   Changes to rules for 2016.  A statement related to the fact that all photos must be the original work of the 4-H member submitting the photograph.  No photograph can be submitted which has been taken by other 4-H members, a family member, or any printed/digital source.  All photos will be scanned through a reverse image search.  Make sure you follow the the rules and guidelines closely!!

 Photography Dates to Remember:


Bell County Photography contest entry deadline:  March 1, 2016, emailed to siraley@ag.tamu.edu.  Winners from the Bell county contest will advance to the District 8 Contest.  Photos will be displayed at the District 8 Round Up on Saturday, April 30th. Senior aged 4-H members that win their category at the Bell County contest, will automatically advance to the Texas 4-H Photography contest.  Those entries will be on display at the Texas 4-H Round Up in June at College Station.
