Below is the 4-H Weekly Update for this week! Please READ it ALL because there is a lot going on right now! Welcome to the new 4-H year!!!

• August 19: Finance Committee Meeting, Fuddruckers-Temple, 7pm
• August 20: Vet Science Project Kick Off Meeting, CEO, 6:00pm
• August 21: Clothing Advisory Board Meeting, CEO, 6:30pm (NEW TIME)
• August 23: Banquet, EXPO, 6pm
• August 24: Lamb & Goat Showmanship Classes, 1pm-4pm

NEW 4-H year started!!!- The New 4-H year started August 15th! Please make sure you are all enrolling now!!! The sooner the better! If you are a new 4-H member that is 8 and in the 3rd grade, please make sure and wait till September 1st to enroll.
Fuddruckers Day- Don’t forget to come and eat at Fuddruckers this week!!! Tuesday is Fuddruckers! In Temple, Bell County 4-H gets the proceeds and at the Killeen store, the Military 4-H gets the proceeds! Come out and eat some Fuddruckers with us!!!! (You can also join us for the finance meeting at 7pm at Fuddruckers if you want to help make the budget for the new year!)
Vet Science Project Kick Off Meeting- Vet Science Curriculum kick off will be Wednesday, August 20th at 6:00 p.m. at the Bell County Extension Office meeting room. This is for youth that are 8 and 3rd grade through junior in high school. If your child is interested in this please attend for more information. The opportunity to enroll will be available there. Juniors in HS will be placed on a fast track program so that when completed they will have a Vet Assistant certification. Come out and learn about this neat new opportunity!!!
Clothing Advisory Board- If you are interesting in the 4-H clothing and textiles project, we will have our first clothing meeting on Thursday, at 6:30pm. They will be planning the new year! All are invited!
Central Texas State Fair- The CTSF show will be held on Saturday, August 30th at the Expo. If you would like to volunteer to help in the office or in a ring (adult or youth), please contact Heidi Prude (Heidi.Prude@ag.tamu.edu). There is also an opportunity to show!
