We strive to form deep and long-term relationships with alumni, donors and potential partners that ensure growth and support for our college and agencies.
Alumni Relations: Through programs like our College of Agriculture Development Council (COADC), our alumni relations division connects with former students and other stakeholders to promote advocacy for our teaching, research and extension missions. Interested in getting connected? We can help. Please contact Angel Futrell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donor Relations and Fundraising: Working with the Texas A&M Foundation AgriLife Office, we work to raise major gift and endowed funds to enhance the academic excellence and Aggie spirit of Texas A&M University.
Special Gifts and Visitors: If you have special guests, lecturers or dignitaries visiting, please let us know! We may be able to help with gifts, arrangements or adding your event to Dr. Hussey’s calendar.
Awards: What better way to show support for your former students than by nominating them for an outstanding alumni or early career alumni award. Each year, the College recognizes graduates of our college for outstanding leadership and significant contributions in agriculture, natural resources, life sciences, and related areas. The nomination period opens in late spring and closes in early summer with the awards being presented in the fall at our annual Legacy and Leadership Banquet. More information can be found here.
Looking for other ways to get your former students engaged? Consider hosting an event. Whether it be a reception at a national meeting, a regional networking happy hour, or a weekend of activities, inviting your former students to attend a face-to-face event helps to engage alumni, friends, and donors. One idea, to keep financial obligations low, is to piggyback off of an established event, such as the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences annual tailgate. Learn more about hosting events here.
